Alexandria before and after

What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I would definitely say my motivation has been to look and feel good/confident again and live a healthy/active lifestyle for my daughter. Her and my husband have been the biggest motivators for me because I want to be the best version of myself for them.

I realized I would avoid taking pictures or hate photos of me with my daughter in them. I got to the point where I felt I would look back on her younger years and be ashamed of not having more pictures with her. My husband and I took this journey together. Him doing it with me and holding one another accountable has made us unstoppable!

How did you change your eating habits?
The biggest tip I can give anyone is that it’s not about WHAT you eat, but HOW MUCH of it you’re eating. I’ve tried tons of “fad” diets. The one thing I can say about all of them is that it comes down to your caloric deficit. What has changed my whole mindset is counting macros. I base my meals around the amount of protein, carbs, and fat that I’m eating for the day. Ultimately whatever I can fit within my specific macros for my goal weight.

What did your workout routine consist of?
My husband and I have been doing the insanity workouts on Beachbody On Demand. We’ve now completed Insanity, Insanity Max 30, and are now starting T25. We do these 5-6 days a week in addition to adding some weight training separately for myself.

How often did you work out?
I pretty much workout daily. (only because it’s become part of my daily routine now that I enjoy)

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?

My starting weight was 208.2, and my current weight is 176.4 pounds.

What is your height?
5’3”

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started counting macros and doing insanity on 4/20/2020. It’s taken me just under four months to lose 30 pounds.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Consistency is key. I also learned about being disciplined enough to know what your goals are and working towards them daily.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
No one is going to want it for you, just like no one is going to make you change. YOU have to want it.
