Ingrid lost 45 pounds. After a traumatic birth experience and recovering from a cesarean section, she decided to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. Working out consistently and meal prepping were essential to her success.
It took me almost two years to feel like myself again after experiencing childbirth and adapting to motherhood. Going through a traumatic birth experience and recovering from a cesarean section felt like the most challenging thing I ever had to do. The bonding moments I experienced while breastfeeding my son are what I cherished the most. However, it delayed my weight loss journey.
Tell us about your workout routine and eating habits.
Consistency has really been key to my weight loss. I made working out a routine, and thus it became a lifestyle. I work out 3-4 times a week for one hour. My sessions consist of cardio on some days and strength training on other days. Meal prepping has also been essential for me.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
Starting weight was 223 pounds and my current weight 178 pounds.

My height is 5’3″.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started my journey in the Summer of 2019. I lost 45 pounds within a year.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I learned so far is that you have to hold yourself accountable for your health and your life. Stop making excuses and get it done.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Utilize any supplements, vitamins, or teas that they already have at home and create a time to be active at least for 20 minutes per workout. Then, increase the time and intensity of your workouts as you get stronger and build up your endurance. Also, I suggest meal prepping (mostly veggies)!
Being active and healthy eating makes me feel the most content. I feel the most like myself now. The way I feel literally trickles down to all aspects of my life. My mind is clear as day. My heart is light as a feather. I am at peace with myself and others. This is what a healthy, active lifestyle does for me.
