Eden lost 147 pounds

Transformation of the Day: Eden lost 147 pounds. The pounds were negatively affecting her both physically and mentally. She wanted to enjoy her life and grow into the woman she envisioned herself as. In April 2019, she had Gastric Sleeve surgery and kicked off her transformation.

Eden before and after

What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
In the past, I felt that my weight was preventing me from enjoying life and preventing me from growing into the woman I truly envisioned for myself. I didn’t realize the weight I was carrying around was also weighing down my mind. I was depressed, and I couldn’t figure out what to do.

So, I took a leap of faith. On April 21, 2019, I decided to join the losers bench and get Vertical Sleeve Gastronomy weight loss surgery. There was a rough road ahead.

How did you change your eating habits?
I stuck to a Keto diet and stopped drinking sodas and alcohol. I stopped eating bread and pasta, and I rarely eat red meat.

What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I do cardio for an hour and light weight lifting for 30 minutes, four days a week.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 405 pounds, and my current weight is 258 pounds.

What is your height?
5’3″

How long did your transformation take?
16 months

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I learned is that losing weight is 80 percent diet. In the beginning, when I joined the losers bench after surgery, I didn’t exercise as I should have. However, my diet did change, and the weight came off effortlessly.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Stick to it, and please don’t give up. Unfortunately, once you start losing weight, your “support system” (i.e., your friends and family) MIGHT turn their backs on you. Just remember that may strangers support you more than family and friends. Your family and friends can have a hard time accepting that you both came from the same place, yet you’ve changed while they’re still in the same place.
